ES3 Project Engineer I, II, III (Multiple Openings) in Clearfield, Utah

General Description & Duties – Multiple positions for hire

This Entry Level or Mid-Level Project Engineer position in the landing gear industry is with the ES3 Mechanical Systems/Wheels/Brakes Design and Analysis Group. The engineer will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical engineering functions to include, but not limited to: reliability/maintainability data analysis, risk assessments, new designs, redesigns, CAD modeling and drawing development, prototyping, aircraft system level requirements analysis, test fixture development and airworthiness certification on a variety of military platforms.

Much of the engineering effort is centered around incorporating new technology on military aircraft platforms. This is a multi-faceted position that requires a variety of engineering skills and offers an opportunity to be at the cutting edge of design and analysis techniques and will be surrounded with experts in their fields who consistently impact aerospace engineering projects that surpass industry norms. Applicant must be a good problem solver, be self-motivated and work well in a team-oriented environment.

This Engineering position is planned for our Clearfield, Utah engineering office. This facility boasts private offices, more than 75 engineers, scientists, and technicians, along with proximity to our 240,000 square foot aerospace R&D laboratory, prototyping, testing, and production center. We are located just minutes away from some of the world’s best ski resorts, hiking trails, and scenic outdoor terrain. ES3 also has facilities in downtown San Diego, California; Warner Robins, Georgia; and Midwest City, Oklahoma. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required/Preferred:

  • 3D CAD Modeling and Drawing Experience (SolidWorks preferred)

  • Reliability/Maintainability and Repair Data Analysis

  • Conduct Trade Studies

  • Determine Interface Requirements, Find Replacement Components, Design Modifications to Enable New Components to Interface with Existing Systems

  • Test Fixture Design

  • Problem Solving Skills

  • Adept Report and Technical Writing

  • Must Be Able to Work Independently, Multitask and Prioritize

  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills and Excel in A Team Environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Education & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of B.S in Mechanical Engineering 

  • 0-15 Years’ Experience in Aerospace/Mechanical Design/Analysis or Related Field

  • CAD Modeling 

Other Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen

  • As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to participate in a background investigation and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

  • Ability to travel as required (less than 20%)
