Job Title: Director of Accounting
Job Description
As the Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing the monthly close process, which includes the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement reviews. You'll create and maintain monthly reports to compare and analyze actual results with budgets, forecasts, and previous results. Collaborating with various department leaders, you'll identify cost savings and maximize profitability. You will assist with the integration of acquisitions and implementation of ERP and Business Applications. You will also ensure the timely and complete preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements, and coordinate the preparation of external monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Additionally, you will assist external auditors with the annual audit and coordinate income tax returns and provision requests. You'll evaluate the effectiveness of Accounting systems and supporting databases, troubleshoot/fix system issues, and train and support team members in the use of financial systems.
Hard Skills

Mergers and Acquisitions experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Must have excellent computer and technical skills, especially Excel, and proficiency using various software systems (Netsuite)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong personal image and poise
Strength in dealing with peer groups and senior executives
Demonstrate competence in decision making
Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure
Ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
Private equity or public company experience
Mix of public accounting (preferably audit and made it to at least senior ) and private accounting experience.

This is a permanent position.

This is a fully on-site position in Clearwater, Florida.
Work Environment
This is a 100% in-office position. Remote work is not an option at this time.
