Honeywell Sr Finance Analyst in Clearwater, Florida

Government Accounting and Compliance - Senior Financial Analyst

As a Sr Financial Analyst - Government Compliance & Finance team, you will hold a critical role in ensuring compliance with government regulations as the liaison between Honeywell and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, computing government rate packages, preparing audit responses, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. Your expertise in government compliance, financial analysis, and audit response will be instrumental in driving the success of our government contracts and ensuring financial transparency and accountability. Position to be filled in Phoenix, Clearwater or Minneapolis.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Primary interface with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) and DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency), regarding Business Systems, CAS, Incurred Cost, Forward Pricing and final voucher audits.

  • Responsible for the analysis and preparation of Incurred Cost Proposals and unallowable reviews pertaining to final claimed cost.

  • Responsible for the preparation of forward pricing rate proposals and the primary interface with DCAA audit of these proposals.

  • Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly Rate Monitorship Report, including variance analysis, data analytics and trending.

  • Supports requests for information pertaining to regulatory matters with internal and external customers.

  • Support of time charging activities reinforcing strong internal controls.

  • Support of SAP Rate Maintenance and Validation for Aerospace CAS Compliant Segments.

  • Supports cross functionally Government Compliance and Finance matters, reinforcing awareness through training, preparing white papers and testing internal controls.

  • Ongoing interaction and partnership with Honeywell Government Compliance team members.

  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, pertaining to memorandum of understandings

  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Must Have

  • 5 + years of accounting/financial analysis experience.

  • Due to ITAR restrictions, must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident status.

We Value

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.

  • Strong SAP experience.

  • Strong personal computer skills with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

  • Experience with FAR, CAS and U.S. Government Compliance is desired.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

  • CPA and/or Government Contract Accounting considered a plus.

  • Strong financial and business analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Independent, self-starter, with a strong work ethic, high degree of motivation and the ability to contribute to a positive team attitude.

  • Strong bias for action; results oriented with an ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and team across organizational or functional boundaries.

  • Six Sigma certified or trained preferred.
