AeroControlex Group, Inc Assembly Technician in Cleveland, Ohio

AeroControlex is seeking a Pump Assembly Technician to join our team.  In this position you will assemble and test pumps. This is a full-time position on 1^st^ shift with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately including sketches, drawings, engineered work instructions, and original equipment manufacturer's instructions
  • Use a variety of hand-held power and non-power tools (wrenches, pliers, screw drivers, drills, and laser markers) as well as different measuring devices to determine specific dimensions (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Understand the basic theory of pumps, hydraulics, plumbing, controls and test setups
  • Conducts planning, execution, and documentation of tests such as; preparation of test articles, test planning/set-up, documents results according to internal, customer, and potential government requirements
  • Inspect work for completion and quality to company, customer, and manufacturer standards
  • Use PC-based software to pull drawings or data sheets, and scan off on jobs
  • Work well independently to complete tasks and follow a schedule
  • Performs other related duties as required and may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2+ years of mechanical assembly work
  • An understanding of pumps and the aerospace industry is preferred
  • Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings, schematics, and other manufacturing documentation
  • Demonstrated dependability, be dedicated to the job, and work overtime as required
  • Proficient in using powered and non-powered tools
  • Basic computer skills

Education:

  • HS diploma or equivalent or Tech School Certificate
