Cleveland Clinic Clinical Manager -- Epilepsy in Cleveland, Ohio

The Clinical Manager reports to the Sr. Clinical Manager to improve patient and work flow via providing support, education and leadership to the technical staff. Advises in all aspects of the department operations and ensure quality care of all patients.

A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday, from 8 am - 5 pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role, will:

  • Manages Neurophysiology caregivers in center specific disciplines, support staff and technicians which includes staffing, training, workflow analysis and performance management.

  • Provides regular updates concerning the assigned discipline areas including on- going program evaluation and improvement, staffing levels and budgets

  • Assists Sr. Clinical Manager in planning, preparing and implementing the department budget and related financial management programs.

  • Compiles and reports on department activities (trends in visits, long range planning, process improvement and input for reports and business reviews)

  • Assumes fiscal responsibility for the expenditures.

  • Performs system analysis to create new systems and operating procedures or revises established systems to achieve efficiency of department's patient care delivery systems.

  • Adheres to standards set by regulatory bodies, such as JCAHO, Medicare/Medicaid and OSHA as they apply to the clinical sites.

  • Ensures that quality, productivity and respective site goals are met.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or related field.

  • Master Degree preferred

  • Registered Electroencephalogram Tech (REEGT) or Certified in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM)

  • A minimum of 5 years working in an Epilepsy environment including at least 3 years of management experience.

  • Additional related experience may offset Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:

  • Has High-level management and leadership skills.

  • Can schedule and manage tasks effectively.

  • Has experience with conflict resolution and problem-solving.

  • Has worked in larger, matrixed healthcare organizations.
