Job Title:GCP Cloud Engineer

Location:Cleveland, Ohio

Job Type:Contract to hire

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled GCP Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based systems on Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with our engineering and development teams to identify optimal solutions, ensure efficient data storage, and maintain security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems on GCP.
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
• Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in line with company security policies.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
• Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
• Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.
• Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services and architecture.
• Experience with cloud-based systems design, development, and deployment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• GCP certifications (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect) preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Understanding of network security and data protection principles.
