Shift: 8 and / or 10 hr shifts (cover 0730-1930)

Summary:
Coordinates, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates education and healthcare services for patients. Establishes, monitors, and updates processes and related policies/procedures for the practice. Collaborates with personnel to facilitate the accurate and efficient flow of patients through the healthcare system. Draws from knowledge of current nursing theories and practices, research methodologies, computer applications, organizational and departmental functions, and principles of leadership, management, and education to complete responsibilities. Facilitates pre-and post-procedure care to all patients undergoing pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICD), and loop recorder implants. Coordinates Device Clinics and serve as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, and EP providers. Serves as a resource for staff nurses, residents, and medical students and is responsible for post-procedure device implant education for patients and families. Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school. Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Ohio. Certification from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) or Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), specifically the Cardiac Vascular Nursing Board certification (CV-BC), within 1 year of hire. Current AHA Basic Life Support for the provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support for the provider certification or obtain within 90 days of hire. Certification from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) or obtains within 1 year of hire. Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and various software and database applications. 2 years of recent clinical experience in Cardiology. Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to handle information with strict confidentiality. Ability to initiate projects and carry out day-to-day operations with minimal supervision. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent delegation and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical and data management skills. Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills. Reliable transportation to travel to satellite locations. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred: Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school. Knowledge of EPIC functionality. Two years of recent cardiology work, specifically device management. Proficiency in arrhythmia analysis and interpretation Knowledge of the management and analysis of ICD, Pacemakers, CRT, and Implanted loop recorder devices is strongly preferred but not required. Experience with a variety of manufacturer’s products such as, but not limited to, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, St Jude, and Biotronik is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment is required. May need to lift to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to push or pull over one hundred (100) pounds with assistance. Ability to communicate face-to-face, via phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals.
