MetroHealth Coordinator School Health Prevention/Wellness - FQHC School Health Admin in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8:00 - 4:30

Summary:

Coordinates assigned prevention and wellness programs and initiatives for the School Health Program (SHP). Works independently on a variety of functions to support the SHP mission. Assists with development and implementation of prevention and wellness programming. Assists with communication, data collection and outreach activities. Manages relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 3 years of experience in a healthcare, public health, or educational environment, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below. Demonstrated program coordination skills. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Word and Excel. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative/team environment. Strong problem solving, organization, and critical thinking skills. Strong customer service skills. Strong time management and project management skills. Ability to work quickly/efficiently, multi-task, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment while under deadline pressure. Demonstrated success in building positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and staff. Reliable transportation to travel to designated community locations.

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; experience in Pediatric Nursing. Interest in any of the following areas: • Community outreach and engagement • Community health program principles, practices and techniques • Trauma informed care and principles • Social determinants of health

Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
