This role is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a hybrid work arrangement - individuals may be required to work some days in the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland while working the other days from home.

Organizational Expectations :

As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, maintenance, and support of infrastructure and SDLC tooling, such as automated build and deployment solutions, for customers across a variety of technology platforms and/or business lines. A continuous learning outlook and a desire to improve on the core competencies are critical for a successful career at the bank.

General Responsibilities :

  • Designs, builds, and maintains Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery infrastructure, tools, and processes.

  • Plans, implements, and tests infrastructure changes via code or automated processes.

  • Facilitates ongoing technical support to internal customers, including support for onboarding and migration of software applications into various environments.

  • Provides tool, process, and technical support during all phases of the application lifecycle.

  • Research new technologies and tools to introduce to the organization to improve the efficiency and agility of software delivery.

  • Ensuring infrastructure components adhere to security standards and resolving findings on behalf of our business partners.

  • Provides ownership, administration, and support of select System wide technology solutions.

  • FinOps and Observability

  • Solves moderately complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

  • Adheres to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related work experience or Associate's Degree with 5+ years of professional work experience.

Knowledge and Skills :

  • Cloud technologies and practices. Industry certifications are plus.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS protocols, and Familiarity with cloud networking concepts

  • Application monitoring and performance cost optimization of Cloud resources

  • Operating Systems and associated commands

  • Infrastructure as code

  • Secure programing techniques and basic understanding of cryptography and certificates

  • SQL / database administration

  • Process automation

  • At least 2 different scripting languages

  • CI/CD Orchestration software

  • Agile and DevOps practices

  • Microsoft Office 365

  • Ability to perform independent research

  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Strong verbal and written communication

Physical Demands and General Working Conditions

Traditional office environment: Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Addendum as needed: Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
