CORE RESPONSIBILITY The Procurement Strategy and Enablement (PS&E) organization is the nucleus of the strategic procurement function that strives to deliver cost efficiency, reduce complexity, and supply chain resilience through a data-driven globally integrated strategic approach that creates competitive advantages through best-in-class systems, tools, processes and analytics. The key role of Process and Compliance Director is responsible for leading the process excellence team as well as supporting the global category leadership in the three core areas of procurement process, systems, and compliance/governance. His/her primary responsibility will be to support the procurement leadership team in the definition, implementation and management of processes, systems, policies and training to support the continued transformation to a world-class Procurement organization. Ownership in these areas includes the definition, implementation and on-going management and enhancement of the specific processes governed by strategic procurement. In addition, this role will oversee the coordination and management of certain regulatory and compliance initiatives both internal and external facing. Specific accountabilities are as follows: Procurement Process Define, document and enforce the standard process, policy and procedures of the strategic procurement function. Directly manage the transactional processes including price management, consignment inventory, supply chain financing, vendor master data management, and the Coupa RFx processes Create and maintain tools to track and measure performance against SLA and functional KPIs Identify and implement process improvement and tools (technology) to streamline and reduce the overall cost to serve Maintain oversight and indirect management of regional transactional activities to drive alignment toward a global standard Maintain relationships with key external procurement process organizations and providers to stay current on industry best practices and technology Procurement Systems Lead the design/build aspects of all procurement owned or procurement adjacent IT systems Act as the functional leader and support for the implementation of Business Integrated Operating Systems (BIOS) globally in the strategic procurement aspects Maintain the enterprise policy, procedures and standardized templates for the organization Oversee the SherProcure system and process managing N America consignment raw materials Compliance & Governance Ensures that procurement support for all legal and regulatory product obligations are met Ensures the Company is able to maximize all available trade incentives and minimize tax & duties on direct spend Ensures the team remains current on relevant ESG initiatives and requirements that affect raw materials Supports the arbitrage efforts to drive to the lowest overall cost globally Supports the RM supply chain and logistics initiatives for cost and service improvements Communicates and works closely with corporate legal and corporate regulatory on related ESG requirements The Director of Procurement Process & Compliance works in partnership and collaborates with finance (SBS), operations, IT, regulatory and legal to develop and maintain global Sherwin Williams policies, procedures, to drive performance and transactional efficiency. FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's Degree Preferred: Bachelor's, or, Master's Degree in Finance, Engineering, or Business/Supply Chain discipline KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 10+ years professional working experience 5+ years managing a team of professionals in procurement 5+ years in process management including defining and implementing best-practices Experience managing transactional processes Project / progr
