Jacobs Electrical CADD Designer in Cleveland, Ohio

As an Electrical CADD/BIM Designer on our design team in Columbus, OH, you’ll play an active role in defining solutions for projects in the areas of Water Treatment, Conveyance, Wastewater Treatment and various municipal facilities. You’ll have the opportunity to create documents to build electrical systems for lighting and power applications across the globe. The combination of your technical skills, attention to detail, and the guidance of an experienced engineering team, will lead you to develop sketches, drawings, and construction documents to support our dynamic projects. Qualifications

  • An Associate’s degree from an accredited technical institution or college in drafting or design

  • Experience with electrical CAD design on municipal projects including water or wastewater projects

  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD. Experience with MicroStation and/or AGi 32 preferred

We don’t settle until we give our best and know that we’re making a difference.      Working as an Electrical CAD/Design Technician in Columbus, we will help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future - big and small, global and local.   Your role will be working with our team of CAD Technicians, Designers, Engineers and Architects drafting drawings for various facility design projects applying diversified knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD software and practices to prepare construction drawings for Electrical and Telecommunication systems for our local clients. This position is for a CAD Technician with the potential to expand into design.

'- At least 2 years of experience using Revit and AutoCAD for buildings-related designs

  • Associates Degree reduces this requirement by 1-2 years

  • Familiar with working with central files and local files

  • Be able to graphically translate verbal and visual instructions into technical drawings

  • Be able to manage work-sets, control visibility, and be familiar in using various parameters in Revit families and schedules

  • Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

  • Good written and verbal skills

  • Team player and enthusiasm

  • US Citizenship   

Ideally You’ll Also Have:  

  • Strong skills with Revit 2018 & 2022, BIM360, Autodesk, BIM 360 GLUE and Navisworks

  • Proficient in creating and updating templates and project set-up in Revit

  • Electrical or Telecommunications technical experience
