The Sherwin-Williams Company IT Business Analyst in Cleveland, Ohio

The Business Analyst role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and designing technology-based business solutions to help solve key business problems. They work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business processes, workflows, data models, and other system artifacts. This role will help identify process improvement and system enhancement opportunities. This position will also be looked to in order to educate users about existing solutions to solve current problems. They will document and review technical specifications that define system requirements and articulate how system changes will meet business goals. The incumbent is also responsible for helping apply system settings and options and will participate in the planning and execution of testing to ensure new or modified systems meet business requirements. They will support process modeling and requirements gathering and leverage this technical expertise to help develop and evaluate third-party solutions or technologies that support business process improvements. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that system documentation, such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, user manuals, and training materials, are accurate and up-to-date. They will participate in monitoring system metrics such as uptime, response times, and error rates to drive system optimization and performance improvements. Drive business results through continuous improvement within Global Lab Systems Document processes, workflows, data models, and other artifacts to assist in capturing the current and future states of business systems Collaborate with users and key business partners to ensure alignment on solutions needing to be prioritized Research and propose approaches to develop functional and technical specifications for new or modified systems, processes, and procedures to meet business requirements Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and testers to ensure new systems or changes to existing systems meet the defined business requirements, are delivered timely, and within budget Help apply system settings and options to meet business goals supporting the planning and execution of system testing Conduct research on third-party solutions or technologies and gather insights related to their features, benefits, and drawbacks, and present findings to senior team members Support team in updating and maintaining system documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, user manuals, and training materials Analyze system metrics, such as uptime, response times, and error rates, to recommend system optimization and performance improvements Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to support the team with identifying potential opportunities to improve existing business systems and processes Support and coordinate training sessions for end-users, as needed Education Required Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Systems, or in lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of experience in the field of business systems analysis or IT (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of business systems analysis or IT) Preferred Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) Knowledge and Experience Required 2-4 years of experience in business systems analysis and design with a deep understanding of software development methodologies Knowledge of business and technical operations, workflows, and procedures Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa Experience utilizing tools, techniques, and leading practices related to data analysis, coding, and
