MetroHealth Jr. Research Business Administrator (Grant Management) in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8-4:30

Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager, Sponsored Programs or an assigned Research Business Administrator, maintains and monitors administrative and financial aspects of grants, contracts and clinical trials awarded to MetroHealth and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) that are conducted on the MetroHealth campus. Assists with fiscal operations including financial reporting, analysis, and all associated processes and procedures of assigned departments, consistent with the policies and requirements of the MetroHealth system and CWRU, when appropriate. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree or 3 years experience in Business Administration, Finance, or related field Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Demonstrated competence and experience using Microsoft Office software products; Word and Excel. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while maintaining strong customer service to the MH research community. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred: Two years experience in a research administration or grants management role Lawson and/or PeopleSoft software experience Advanced Excel skills Clinical trial coordination experience

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
