Ohio Means Jobs Cleveland Cuyahoga County is sourcing for a Maintenance Associate position. We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our facilities Operations team as a Maintenance Associate. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the overall functionality of our facilities. The Maintenance Associate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, ranging from basic general labor duties to assisting with facility improvement projects. Essential Job Responsibilities: • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and minor repairs to ensure the facility's cleanliness and functionality • Assist in maintaining the outdoor areas, including lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal as needed • Operate and maintain basic facility equipment such as lawn mowers, power washers, and small hand tools • Collaborate with the Facilities Operations team in various projects, including renovations, installations, and upgrades • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment usage, and inventory levels when appropriate • Be willing to adapt to changing work priorities and assist with other duties as assigned Other Job Responsibilities • Actively participates in quality improvement activities of the program/agency • Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct in terms of privacy of client information and adherence to confidentiality policies & upholds the service philosophy • Comply with policies and procedures governing the program and agency and consults with appropriate administrative staff regarding issues posing potential risk • Build and maintain positive relationships with peers and other programs and departments within the organization • Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission of the agency Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Previous experience in general labor or maintenance work is preferred. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects (50lbs). • Willingness to collaborate with team members and other departments. • Consistent attendance and punctuality are crucial for this position • Basic communication skills to interact with team members and follow • Build Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks without constant supervision NOTE: The individual must possess these skills and abilities or, using some other combination of skills and abilities, be able to explain and/or demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential responsibilities of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
