MetroHealth Manager Ambulatory Pharmacy - Retail Ohio City in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: Ohio City

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: Monday Thru Friday 730a-730p rotating shifts, Rotating weekends

Summary:

Manages the efficient and effective daily operation of an Ambulatory Pharmacy. Serves as the Responsible Pharmacist with all associated legal responsibility for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local drug laws. Supervises and manages the personnel staff at the assigned Ambulatory Pharmacy. Ensures fiscal compliance for the assigned Ambulatory Pharmacy. Focuses on customer service issues that arise in the assigned Ambulatory Pharmacy. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from a State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy approved institution. Possess a current Pharmacist License from the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy and maintains this license. Possess a current Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate from the American Pharmacist Association (APhA) OR an equivalent certification from a program recognized by the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy, and maintains this credential. Meets the legal requirements for a Terminal Distributor of Dangerous Drugs (TDDD) license to be the Responsible Person for an Institutional Pharmacy as issued by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. Obtains a TDDD license within 6 months of hire, and maintains this license. Maintains Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certification by the APhA (American Pharmacist Association), or from an equivalent program recognized by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. BLS Certification from the AHA. 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement processes and best practices. Strong knowledge of billing practices for Medication Therapy Management (MTM).

Preferred: 1 year of managerial experience.

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
