Ohio Means JobsCuyahoga County is sourcing a Line Service Technician for a local company providing ground support aviation services.  First and second shifts are available. Position Summary: The Line Service Technician is responsible for providing ground support aviation services for customers to ensure FBO compliance and safety. Position Responsibilities: • Aids aircraft flight crews and passengers with arrivals and departures by assisting with all service needs including safe aircraft parking, baggage and cargo assistance, catering loading, coffee, ice, papers, vehicle placement and more. • Provides safe and timely ground services such as ground power, lavatory and potable water, tugs, refueling trucks and deice. • Adhere to and perform all required quality control standards and procedures as directed by; company policy, ATA 103, NFPA 407, SPCC and other governing agencies. • Performs audits and inspections as assigned. • Keeps all work areas including ramp spaces, hangars, offices, and parking lots clean and free of clutter and debris. • Receives fuel deliveries as needed. • Transports customers to various locations both on and off airport property and complete general errands as needed. • Performs various groundskeeping and janitorial duties as assigned. • Adheres to all company uniform standards and always maintain a professional appearance. • Tows aircraft and provide wing walking services as needed and with strictest adherence to towing and company SOPs. • Works a flexible work schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and on-call. • Performs all other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Education and/or Experience - High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate), knowledge of FBO and airport operations preferred. • Language Skills --Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc. • Mathematical Skills --Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including email, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, etc. This role requires an above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office. • Valid driver's license is required; Must be able to travel 20% ofthe time; Overnight stays may be necessary.
