MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES - Vegetable Preparation: Thoroughly clean, peel, chop, and prepare fresh vegetables for daily menu items, ensuring they meet quality standards. - Fruit Juicing: Your adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines when pressing fresh fruits for juicing is vital. It ensures we provide high-quality juices that are safe for consumption, reflecting our commitment to food safety. - Sanitation and Cleanliness: Your role in maintaining cleanliness in all work areas, including countertops, sinks, and cutting boards, is highly valued. Your diligence in removing all trash regularly and disposing of it properly is a testament to your pride and ownership in our kitchen's cleanliness. - Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Product Labeling: Accurately label and date all products and items stored in refrigerators to ensure proper inventory management and compliance with health regulations. - Equipment Management: Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and returned to its designated storage area after use. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB Education: High School Diploma Experience: - Proven experience in a food preparation or kitchen assistant role. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Strong commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen. Other: -Must have 2 years of restaurant experience KEY COMPETENCIES Must possess a valid ServSafe Food Handler Certification and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Physical Stamina: This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, often for the duration of the shift, and to perform tasks that demand physical endurance. It's crucial to be aware of these requirements before applying. - Lifting Capability: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds or more, as needed for food preparation and kitchen maintenance.
