Job Description

Overview:

The Resident Renewal Specialist is committed to fostering exceptional resident satisfaction and driving lease renewals. This role focuses on building lasting relationships through direct resident engagement, addressing concerns proactively, and implementing effective retention strategies to ensure a positive living experience and sustained occupancy.  

• Cultivate strong, positive relationships with residents by actively engaging through web-based platforms and Property Management Software.• Respond promptly to inquiries, address concerns with care, and provide comprehensive assistance throughout the lease renewal process to enhance the resident experience.

• Engage with residents to discuss renewal options and negotiate lease terms, including rent adjustments, concessions, and contract durations, ensuring a balance between resident satisfaction and property revenue goals.

• Gather feedback from residents through surveys, check-ins, and exit interviews. Use this information to identify common pain points, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enhancing the resident experience.

• Maintain comprehensive records of all resident interactions, renewal statuses, and retention efforts within property management software. Regularly report on key metrics, including retention rates, resident satisfaction, and renewal activity.

• Work closely with on-site and regional teams, support teams and support AI platforms to align retention efforts with property goals, ensuring consistent communication about resident needs and retention metrics.

Requirements:

  • This position requires an Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree in

Business, Property Management, or related field

  • 5-7 years of multifamily real estate experience required

  • 3-4 years of property management experience and contract or lease renewal negotiations conversations required
