Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Cleveland, Ohio. The role primarily involves the management of financial records and reporting, supporting M& A processes, and utilizing ERP systems for financial analysis. The candidate will be expected to provide insights and recommendations for high-level financial projects and use advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in M& A processes, including due diligence, financial analysis, and integration activities.
• Utilize ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis, and support ERP implementation and integration projects.
• Lead and participate in various high-level financial projects, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Use advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, Power Query, and Power BI, to analyze and present financial data.
• Design and build data models to support decision making.
• Support the annual budgeting process, working closely with various departments to ensure accurate and comprehensive budgets. Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proven experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of General Ledger management.
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) is considered a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High degree of professionalism and integrity.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
• Must be able to pass any required pre-employment testing.
• Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
