Job Description

Seeking a Sr. Research Scientist to lead a small project team in resolving technical challenges, mainly working with thermoplastics. The role involves using commercial polymers to create specialized properties out of film, leading projects for targeted layered polymeric material development, and demonstrating an understanding of polymer structure-property relationships to create a development roadmap. This includes evaluating new technologies and materials, collaborating on multi-disciplinary project teams, providing technical input, and delivering results aligned with team deliverables. The successful candidate will develop and implement technical solutions through hands-on experimentation and problem-solving of technical issues, work seamlessly with other groups, business partners, and customers to assist in scaling up new technology, and push boundaries to develop an understanding of the relationship between process and product performance. Responsibilities also include formulating hypotheses, developing experimental plans to test them, utilizing statistical tools to solve complex problems, and implementing appropriate EH&S standards.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in NA, Ohio and some days remote.

The role involves spending time in the lab, office, and collaborating with other departments and team members.
