Are you a friendly and motivated individual who loves working in a fast paced environment? If so, we are looking for a multifaceted individual who can successfully multi-task the day to day responsibilities of a medical receptionist. We are looking for someone who is comfortable on the phone, has good computer knowledge, and exemplary customer service skills.This role will register patients, balance daily patient charges, and maintain complete and accurate documentation. Please if this is YOU! Previous medical clerical experience required!

salary: $15 - $18 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the clinic for opening each day by reviewing the facility, opening all systems applications, and preparing new patient registration packets and required documents

  • Greet patients, provide patients with initial paperwork and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards

  • Register patients, update patient records, verify insurance accurately and timely, and check patients out

  • Determine, collect, and process patient payments and address collection and billing issues

  • Respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent customer service, assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfill medical documentation requests

  • Balance daily patient charges (cash, check, credit cards) against system reports

  • Complete closing procedures by preparing closing documentation and submitting required reports

  • Complete cash control procedures and secure financial assets

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • To accurately check patients in and out by verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records and accounts.

  • Maintain patient flow. Provide positive patient relations.
