Description

We are on the lookout for a meticulous Sr. Accountant in the automotive industry. This role is based in Clifton, New Jersey, and is a contract opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with duties relating to account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Reconcile balance sheets and deliver summary reconciliation reports to the management

• Perform bank reconciliations promptly and accurately

• Manage the company's general ledger and ensure it's updated regularly

• Prepare journal entries and synthesize various ledger details

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, data manipulation, and report generation

• Ensure month-end close processes are carried out timely and accurately.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation processes and procedures

• Proven experience in balance sheet reconciliation

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently

• Solid understanding of general ledger operations

• Proficient in the preparation and posting of journal entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in executing month-end close procedures

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles related to the automotive industry

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.
