Description

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for supporting all financial aspects of our nonprofit organization. This includes overseeing payroll, conducting audits, preparing financial reports, and managing human resources functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Location: Clifton Park, NY

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

• Experience in nonprofit accounting preferred

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles

• Experience with payroll processing and HR functions

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Proficient in various Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in Auditing

• Understanding of Budget Processes

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

• CPA or CMA certification preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
