The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Speech Pathologist. The successful candidate will need to:

• Experience with speech/language instruction in an elementary and/or preschool/Universal Pre-Kindergarten setting;

• Experience with speech/language instruction in a special education setting;

• Experience and willingness to co-instruct/co-teach young learners with general education or special education teachers in an elementary setting;

• Strong knowledge base of speech and language developmental milestones;

• Specialty in phonemic awareness skills and signs of apraxia preferred;

• Training and qualification to instruct in IEP goals;

• Experience and willingness to work with different learning styles and learning needs;

• Must be able to support skills-based program of reading and writing instruction;

• Must be able to support and work in a team-learning classroom setting;

• Experience with Medicaid reimbursement.

Job Qualifications

• Speech Therapy Certification Required

• Speech Pathologist preferred

• Fingerprint Clearance
