Job Summary: 

The Team Lead is the primary go-to person managing technical authors for specific equity assignments and tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Accurately develop content using client supplied information
  • Ensure accuracy by crosschecking projects from team members
  • Coordinate the delivery of daily projects
  • Organize the workload and authoring responsibilities for the equity team
  • Oversee the proper onboarding and development of team members, and ensure adherence to process
  • Manage technical authors through equity responsibilities, and related tasks
  • Perform role of vehicle lead to shepherd projects through various development milestones
  • Monitor quality of projects to ensure consistency
  • Coordinate and lead plant trips
  • Oversee the implementation of department initiatives
  • Collaborate with other Team Leads to ensure consistency
  • Coordinate with project coordinators to ensure on time delivery of all projects
  • Track and ensure closure of open items that require follow up and resolution
  • Perform managerial functions such as time off requests, performance evaluations, improvement plans, regular one-on-one meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience is required for this position. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in an authoring environment
  • Familiarity with SGML/XML authoring tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook or equivalent email package
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and other similar software

  • 1 year of project leadership experience preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Proven history of working collaboratively with client service teams in fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrable ability to dialog freely with internal teams about projects to ensure solutions are well-planned

Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.? 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move into, out of and around automobiles in a garage environment.

Occasional travel to customer plants may be required.

May require occasional overnight stay.
