Robert Half Inventory Analyst in Closter, New Jersey

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Analyst based in Closter, New Jersey. The role involves managing and optimizing inventory levels within the consumer products sector. You'll be key in overseeing various facets of inventory management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain records of inventory levels and conduct regular reconciliation of physical inventory counts with system records.

• Efficiently process incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.

• Accurately enter receipt information into the SAP system and investigate any discrepancies between received quantities and purchase orders.

• Assure the quality of incoming products and communicate with suppliers to address any quality concerns promptly.

• Monitor and track the movement of inventory into and out of the facility, ensuring accurate documentation.

• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

• Review and validate chargeback claims related to inventory issues and investigate the root causes to implement corrective actions.

• Utilize SAP and other inventory management systems effectively for data entry and analysis.

• Show attention to detail and analytical skills in monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action.

• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in resolving customer inquiries and maintaining accurate customer records. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Inventory Analyst role or similar

• Proficient in using SAP for inventory management

• Experience in conducting Annual Physical Inventory

• Familiar with Asset Inventory processes and systems

• Demonstrated skills in Annual Inventory and Inventory Audits

• Proven ability to implement and maintain Inventory Controls

• Knowledge and understanding of Inventory cycles

• Experience in Inventory Planning and Inventory Planning & Reporting

• Proficient in Inventory Reconciliation

• Experience in managing Raw Material Inventory

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
