JOB OVERVIEW

The Safety/Quality Coordinator will provide interpretation, analysis, and support of programs related projects, and processes which support the health and safety and quality management system for the KONE manufacturing facility in Coal Valley. This role may spend 50% of their time on the production floor making safety observations, quality audits, conducting incident investigations, collecting data, and training individuals on safety/quality procedures.

JOB DUTIES

  • Participate in job hazard assessments, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes to reduce workplace hazards.

  • Conduct incident investigations and ergonomic reviews and assist in determining effective corrective action.

  • Compile and analyze necessary data, documentation, and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements.

  • Manage internal safety reporting systems to capture near misses and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Coordinate safety/quality audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with KONE standards processes and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Respond to questions and requests for information relevant to safety and health issues from acquired knowledge and experience.

  • Develop, direct and may conduct safety presentations and training.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Quality Management, EHS, or Operations, preferred

  • CSP - Certified Safety Professional

  • Strong demonstrated experience in manufacturing safety or quality

  • Knowledge and experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment with a strong safety background.

  • Knowledge and experience in developing and providing safety training.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and 45001:2018

  • Strong skills in MS Office suite
