Job Overview:
Dockside Restaurant at the Coeur d'Alene Resort is seeking a skilled and experienced Broiler Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing high-quality dishes, exceptional grill and broiler skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As a Broiler Cook, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests by delivering perfectly cooked proteins and other grilled items.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook proteins, including steaks, seafood, poultry, and other menu items, using broilers, grills, and other cooking equipment according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure proper seasoning, doneness, and presentation of all dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the broiler station and surrounding areas.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Monitor inventory levels for ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Assist with the preparation of ingredients, such as marinating meats, chopping vegetables, and assembling dishes as needed.
Manage and maintain temperature control of broilers and grills, ensuring equipment is functioning properly.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Broiler Cook or similar role in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
Skills:
Proficiency in broiling and grilling techniques, including achieving desired doneness and sear marks.
Strong understanding of food preparation, safety, and sanitation standards.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in high-heat environments.

2-4 years gets 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
5+ years gets 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week)
