Overview

Responsibilities

  • Instructs, motivates and Assists patients to learn and improve functional activity, such as pre-ambulation, transfer, ambulation and daily living activities

  • Assesses, and compiles data on patients’ responses to treatments

  • Fit patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices

  • Encourages the active participation of the patient and/or family in goal setting and patient/family training/education

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree from an approved program for Physical Therapist AssistantsCurrent Texas State Licensure (PTA)American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification

  • PTA:MA

  • BLS-CPR

  • Must have valid driver’s license & auto liability insurance according to company policy

Graduates eligible for licensure will be considered

Pay Range

$22.89 - $33.20 /hour
