Director, Value Engineering and Program Management Location: Belgium, USA, UK Job Family: General Procurement Permanent role The Director, Value Engineering and Program management will lead efforts to establish new and enhance existing Directs and Sites processes and capabilities supporting value engineering, NPI de-risking and strategic program management for the GSC direct supply base that require cross team and cross functional coordination.

Reporting to Inma Lafuente, this role is accountable for business partnering with various GSC and Global Procurement teams to advance strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement and value generation.It has extensive interaction with GSC and Global Procurement leaders.

Responsibilities include:

Value Engineering (VE): Lead efforts to formulate, refine, and implement processes and tools to drive adoption of value generators across all Direct & Sites teams. Develop a framework to realize value creation opportunities at full potential (e.g shelf-life extension, waste removal). Lead certain transversal value creation program in partnership with category and sites team, and stakeholders. Lead 360 brand cost analysis to identify waste and opportunities. Assess rationalization and harmonization of Incoming Materials for category / Commodity group aligned with Global Supply Chain objectives, such as E2E lead time reduction and inventory optimization. Develop and educate others and advocate benefits of value engineering across D&S teams. Ensure clear objectives alignment between Global and Site Procurement leaders for VE.

NPI / De-risking: In partnership with GP COE Risk Management and CMC team / MSCL, execute Supplier Integrated Risk Management assessment from phase IIB until asset launch. Conduct initial assessment of the BOM for in scope new products to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement. Organize workshop with cross functional team (sites, category team), for pro-active management and develop action plan. Work with category teams to embed NPI requirements (cost, lead time, contracts) related to risk mitigation in sourcing strategies to support successful launch of new products.

Program Management: CPU Procurement Lead Lead the Operating leverage/ Cost Per Unit Procurement multiyear program to help deliver improvement of Cost of Goods, in partnership with GSC Operating Leverage Global Lead. Oversee and coordinate the planning, execution, and monitoring of CPU projects to ensure milestones are met. Orchestrate the effort across all DSLT areas and coordinate with GSC workstreams to drive coordinated strategy and oversight of all CPU initiatives and ensure a streamlined process to avoid redundancy and drive efficiency. Facilitate the engagement with stakeholders to drive business case review and endorsement. Monitor implementation of endorsed business cases. Identify and mitigate risks that may impact program delivery, working proactively to resolve issues and achieve desired outcomes. Engage GSC and/or GP leadership as required to resolve any process, resources or engagement challenge related to the CPU priorities. Provide leadership and guidance to DS team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. Serve as a POC for CPU-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing timely update.

Capability Building: Lead the development and implementation of Project Nina with an intention to harmonize and simplify the Plan and Standard Price Cost processes and elevate the D&S platform capability to execute the annual financial planning processes. Elevate team capability by driving improvement in data quality, and enhanced spend analytics and insight to support decision-making, in collaboration with the Center of Excellence and Digital Dat and Analytical teams. Assure any current and newly introduced practices are sustainable through robust change management practices. Ensure that D&S procurement teams are executing SRM activities in accordance with all relevant policy and procedures. Abreast of the leading supplier management practices across multiple industries through benchmarking and engagement across industry and relevant peer groups. Provide coaching for team members and create a team environment that drives colleague engagement.

Previous work in managing complex project in a matrix organization. business English is essential.
