Position Title: Sales - Specialty Gases Denver, CO Frequent Travel within Colorado What you'll do: The Specialty Gas Sales Specialist is responsible for driving growth of Specialty Gas Products to existing and prospective customers.
Through both direct sales and in collaboration with area account managers, the Specialty Gas Specialist is directly accountable for product management, market growth and development to achieve business and sales objectives in the assigned geography.
Your responsibilities: Driving Specialty Gas sales within the assigned geography through identification of key growth markets and / or products and associated targets. Development and execution of a strategy to capture that growth. Supporting account managers to drive the growth of Specialty Gas sales within the account managers assigned portfolio. Maintaining solid working relationships with Account Managers, District Managers and other Specialists in Region. Provide customers with the engineering, technical support, training, and service for all your Specialty Gas needs. Establish a process for continuous and accurate market data collection for customer sales and service needs, market trends and competitor activities. Utilize all necessary sales and marketing literature to promote Airgas initiatives that are identified as part of the region's growth strategy. Maintain and upgrade selling skills and technical/product knowledge through required training and self-directed research and learning. Complete and turn in sales-related paperwork, including call reports, month-end reports, reads and responds to email and phone calls in a timely mann Territory is primarily Colorado and requires a substantial amount of travel within the state.

3+ years experience in sales. Industry experience preferred. Must have reliable transportation to travel to customer sites. Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds. Must be detail oriented. Valid driver's license and personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by the company. Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace. Education and / or Experience Minimum - High school graduate or GED equivalent plus five (5) years industry experience. Prefer Associates or Bachelor's Degree plus three (3) years industry experience. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of the Company. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
Pay range: base pay annually (plus commission) DOE, $80,000 - $105,000 target annual pay

Incentive pay: This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the following program: monthly commission
