Summary Description: The Campus Advocate is a member of the Wellness Resource Center (WRC) team and reports to the Director of the (WRC). The Wellness Resource Center is the hub of health promotion and prevention services at Colorado College. This position is responsible for the implementation of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program, ensuring that efforts are evidence-based/informed, trauma-informed, student-centered, and supportive of student development. This position provides confidential support and advocacy for students who have experienced sexual violence.

Anticipated Salary Range: $56,116 to $67,339 per year

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with key stakeholders on and off campus to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to sexual assault prevention and response. Manage and staff 24-hour Advocate On-Call, which provides response to urgent incidents of sexual violence, in partnership with Campus Safety and other campus offices. Provide confidential support and advocacy services for students who have experienced sexual violence, directly or indirectly. Collaborate with the Title IX Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator on cases that may include this position's involvement and support, and review of procedures and practices. Provide consultation to faculty, staff, and administration regarding sexual assault prevention and response, policies, and procedures. Leads development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive on-going educational program on campus to address the causes, situations, and behaviors associated with sexual violence. Provide advising, supervision, and training for student groups organized to address sexual violence and sexual health.

Additional Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in a related field such as social work, public health, psychology, or human services. Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with sexual violence response/advocacy and prevention. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with crisis intervention, trauma-informed practices, and confidentiality best practices. Advanced knowledge of applicable sexual health and higher education laws and regulations, including Federal legislation such as Title IX, Title VII, and the Clery Act. Excellent public speaking skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability in developing positive relationships, partnerships, and/or collaborations with people from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Clear understanding of equity, racial disparities, and other intersecting injustices (e.g. ableism, classism, homo/bi/transphobia), including knowledge in how they intersect with sexual vio Specialty certification in sexual assa lt and intimate partner advocacy. Experience working in a college/university setting.
