Responsibilities: The GIS and LiDAR Analyst will with other GIS, database, application development, and records management disciplines. The analyst will play a key role in supporting project managers, engineers, biologist, environmentalist, and other members of the project team for a variety of municipal, state, federal, and commercial clients throughout the United States and other countries. Major duties/responsibilities of the position include Working with various project teams to support a variety of municipal, state, federal, and commercial projects. Being responsible for report assistance, presentations, and mapping for a variety of environmental, utility, and water resources projects. Effectively communicate and coordinate with other project team members and disciplines. Maintain, troubleshoot, and deploy mobile GIS and LiDAR solutions as part of project team. Build, update, and maintain enterprise geodatabases and data, with guidance. Create maps and graphs, using GIS software and related equipment for distribution. Georeference historical aerials and drawings into existing maps and digitize key features. Update and query database, applying additional knowledge of spatial feature representations. Conduct research to locate and obtain existing geospatial datasets. Analyze spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports. Prepare metadata and other documentation. Perform quality control on geospatial data attributes. Possess a strong background in LiDAR data processing and have excellent analytical skills. Operate LiDAR and drone equipment. Responsible for daily production activities of mission planning, data processing, and creation of LiDAR mapping products and deliverables. Evaluating accuracy and sufficiency and compliance to applicate project and industrial standards related to LiDAR mapping. Endure proper classification of LiDAR point clouds. Extraction of mapping features including planimetry and breaklines from LiDAR point clouds and handling ground-based images. Importing geospatial products into PLS-CADD/MicroStation and subsequent processing and handling in depth quality control of LiDAR data products. Occasional travel to client sites and other locations, as requested. Other duties as may be assigned and may include periodic field work.

Expertise with SRI Apps such as Survey 123, Field Maps, Experience Builder, and Story Maps Maintain a passion for continual learning about GIS and LiDAR technologies and refining and maintaining geospatial solutions for clients. Energetic with ability to overcome obstacles to complete a task safely and efficiently. Familiarity and understanding of GPS technology. Understanding of geodatabase structure and capabilities. Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills. Capable of working in and communicating strongly and effectively within small and large team environments. Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight and competing deadlines. Interest in or ability to automate repetitive processes using scripting languages (i.e., Python, Model Builder, Arcade) Awareness of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) is a plus. Possess a FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification. Valid state driver license in good standing
