Volt is immediately hiring Systems Integration and Test Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO

As Systems Integration and Test Engineer you will:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers. The Integration Engineer plans and performs assignments involving definition of plans and procedures relative to complex software and hardware subsystems and resolves identified conflicting issues. Participates in a complex program which includes establishing methods and techniques, planning and writing integration procedures/sequences and reports, and conducting tests utilizing comprehensive knowledge of these complex subsystems. Utilizes a broad knowledge of precedents in integra tion engineering and applies understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test validity and integrity. Conducts tests, which include collaborating with others in establishing language, database, and computer simulation requirements and configuration management techniques. Develop and execute integration plans and sequences. Identify technical issues during integration. Collaborate with fellow engineers to determine root cause and drive toward closure. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, which includes preparing and presenting technical briefs. Work in an Agile program environment.

This is a 12 Month full time Contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Clearance Required: Active Secret

Technical Skills/Experience Required: Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 5 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in (STEM). Experience working on Global Positioning System (GPS) Hands-on integration experience Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems

Experience with systems engineering principles and activities.

Technical Skills/Experience Preferred: Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment. Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations). Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket). Experience with EclipseTM or EquinoxTM. Experience with Java, C++, or Python. Experience with Linux operating system.

Education Requirements: Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or Master's degree in (STEM). Pay Rate: $95.00 - $109.00 per hour
