The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) Strategic and Military Space Division is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to help the U.S. Space Force achieve the goals of developing requirements, methodologies and processes, prototype systems, technology roadmaps, government reference architecture, and assessments of test, training and infrastructure capability gaps for the Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) Enterprise. This position requires excellent soft skills to influence and work with teammates from the government, other UARC and FFRDC partners, and SETA contractors. Salary Range: $103,283 - $181,777

Key Responsibilities:
Works side-by-side with the customers as a subject matter expert to develop methodologies and infrastructure to perform training and T&E of USSF Systems
Assists with an ongoing assessment of existing OTTI infrastructure used by the USSF
Ensures all subsystems integrate and that interfaces are clearly defined
Provides recommendations to ensure test and evaluation of subsystems accurately assesses requirements and parameters defined in the system models
Collaborates with USSF stakeholders, Test Deltas, Program Offices who will use OTTI, TEMPs, STPs to define specific OTTI requirements
Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution
Researches and evaluates potential materiel solutions to satisfy OTTI infrastructure requirements
Enables government ownership of the delivered technology baseline
Coordinates across technical teams to ensure requirements are known and met
Participates in technical interchange meetings and reviews
Effectively communicates technical results, both verbally and in writing
Represents SDL and OTTI at forums and meetings
Required Qualifications:
BS degree in a related technical field, e.g., computer science, information technology, or electrical engineering
5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
Strong familiarity/experience in national security space systems
Demonstrated expertise and experience in complex IT networking systems and ground facilities development
Familiarity with MBSE
Experience with developing technical budgets for complex systems
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to present clearly and succinctly to customers
Ability to travel
Must be a US citizen with a current TOP SECRET/SCI clearance and ability to be cleared for SAPs and CAPs
