Summary Responsible for provision of full-range mental health inpatient services from initial assessment, treatment planning and supportive counseling as well as aftercare planning, group psychotherapy, suicide risk assessment and crisis intervention. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Conducts mental health interviews, screenings, ASAMs assessments and evaluations and determines appropriate mental health services and treatment plans to address a residents specific mental health needs in accordance with the mission of the Intensive Residential Therapy (IRT) program and policies. Provides a full range of supportive mental health services including IRT individual counseling, group counseling (curriculum based) and specialty group counseling such as anger management, coping skills, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy etc. Prepares all related mental health documentation in accordance with all applicable customer, organizational, and state standards in a clear, thorough and timely manner. Consults with Security, Case Management and other departments, as needed, related to IRT mental health concerns. Responds to psychological emergencies and provides crisis intervention, where applicable, and in accordance with company policy. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field such as Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work. Must be a Licensed Addiction Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (applicant must be able to provide proper d cumentation). One (1) year experience providing mental health services in an institutional / correctional setting is preferred. Ability to work in crisis situations in a professional and mature manner. Strong counseling and motivational interviewing skills. Must be able to maintain strong ethical / clinical boundaries. Experience with co-occurring disorders required. Must be able to work individual and in a team environment with other clinicians and Case Managers. Above average verbal and writing skills. Must be able to develop clear and concise reports in a timely manner. Ability to work with computers and the necessary software used by the department. GEO Reentry Services LLC.
