Description of Duties:

The Mid Cloud Security Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

· Design, implement, and manage cloud security architectures and technologies.

· In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

· Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.

· Monitor and respond to security incidents, performing forensic analysis as needed.

· Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans on code using SAST and DAST tools.

· Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into DevSecOps processes.

· Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends.

· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, NIST Framework, ISO 27001).

· Implement and enforce encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and other security controls.

· Provide guidance and training to other teams on cloud security best practices.

· Participate in security audits and risk assessments.

· Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud security configurations, procedures, and policies.

· Attend multiple engineering and architecture meetings and serve as technical expert on multiple IT domains related to Cloud and DevSecOps projects.

· Perform modifications and upgrades as needed.

· Coordinate efforts with other work centers and personnel to resolve Remedy Incidents related to systems and supporting infrastructure.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 6 years of general experience.

· Must have 7 years of related experience in one or more of the following: software developer, application integration specialist, or in fields related to enterprise application integration (EAI) experience and / or specific business domain experience.

· Must have at least 1 year of experience in management or leadership roles.

· Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification).

· Must have at least 1 commercially recognized Cloud certification.

· Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Requirements:

· Have systems administration/engineering experience managing Azure and AWS platforms.

· Have experience with GitLab.

· Have experience with developer and coding tools.

· Have experience with Remedy Incident and Change Management.

· Have experience with networking, cyber security and automation.

· Have experience with DevSecOp processes.

· Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).

· Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

· Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools.

· Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles.

· Understanding of data protection and privacy laws.

This position is expected to pay $104,000 - $129,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
