SAIC Network Administrator in COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado

Description

SAIC is seeking a Network Administrator in support of North American Aerospace Defense Command

(NORAD)/United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Services (NITES). The purpose of NITES is to enable the J6 to provide enterprise ITSM in a consistent, reliable, and cost-effective manner in support of N&NC mission.

NetOps is responsible for the availability, operation, maintenance, and security of the N&NC’s computer network infrastructure. NetOps specific functions include switching, routing, firewall administration, availability monitoring, security monitoring, and system backup and DR. The contractor shall provide stable and reliable access to the network services defined in the Service Catalog while also meeting the performance thresholds and objectives defined therein.

A successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities, but not limited to:

  • Ensure availability of network support 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7) according to the N&NC Tier Support Requirements. Support shall be provided on-site during normal work hours and on-call during off-hours.

  • Monitor network performance utilizing a variety of enterprise monitoring tools and reviewing anomalies, bulletins, and alerts as they may apply to the enterprise network. The contractor is also responsible for installing and maintaining the network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools.

  • Create troubleshooting and maintenance procedures and execute fault isolation and diagnostic functions to ensure the execution of corrective actions on a real-time basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field with 5 years of experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Secret clearance.

  • IAT Level II Security Certification such as Security + is required for this position.

  • Experience in a military environment and/or communicating with mid to senior level military members is highly desired for this position.

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
