Lockheed Martin Network Engineer Lead - TS Clearance in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (https://www.lockheedmartin.com/en-us/who-we-are/business-areas/rotary-and-mission-systems.html) has an opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO as a member of the Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (https://www.lockheedmartin.com/en-us/products/command-control-battle-management-communications-c2bmc.html) National Team.

THE WORK

Serve as a Network Engineering Lead. As a Network Engineering Lead, the candidate will be at the fore front of network design, helping solve difficult technical problems, leading team members in technical execution, and helping train engineers with less experience. The candidate will work within an agile team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements.

Responsibilities:

- Applies advanced concepts, theories, and principles and contributes toward the development of new principles and concepts.

- Works unusually complex problems with consultative direction.

- Will be responsible for decisions that drive critical capabilities and organizational objectives.

- Advises top management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications

- May function in project leadership roles and represents the organization as prime customer contact on significant technical matters on contracts.

- Will be responsible for helping junior engineers with tasks if needed.

- Candidate will be responsible for coordinating the planning and execution of major project on the Networks Team.

- Candidate will be responsible for identifying a roadmap for Network evolution and work towards achieving that vision.

- Candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.

- Candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and presenting KPIs and other metrics related to the Network Enterprise.

- Any other required tasks by the program.

Basic Qualifications:

- Must have a Top Secret Clearance

- Must have an 8140 Compliant Certification such as: Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.

- Must be able to travel to alternate work locations to execute job duties such as deployments.

- Must have Network Design & Development experience.

- Must know how to design, implement, and manage Network Management and Monitoring Systems.

- Must have extensive experience with networking protocols.

- Must have proven troubleshooting expertise.

- Must have experience planning and supporting the deployment of network infrastructure.

- Must have experience leading projects and training individuals on technologies.

Desired Skills:

- Eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

- JNCP or CCNP Certification

- Prior C2BMC experience

- Experience with Python

- Experience with Automation

- Advanced Network Design

- Juniper Expertise

- Routing Expertise

- Switching Expertise

- Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.

- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers as well as independently on large field projects.

- Must have experience developing KPIs and tracking other metrics and creating reports.

- Must have managerial and leadership experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
