Salary Range : $24,970 - $32,219.50 at 50% time. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Non-Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary

This position will support the Executive Director, Division Directors, and Sr. Financial Manager/Research Administrator with business operations and programs within the Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience. Responsibilities of this position include executive-level administrative support, event coordinating, post-award sponsored programs support, as well as exercising discretion, analytical skills, and personal accountability. Work is performed fully independently and has a hybrid working structure.

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides executive level administrative support to the Executive Director of the Institute including maintaining his calendar, coordinating, and supporting high level meetings, researching background information as needed, drafting documents, and managing routing of documents.

  • Provides Advisory Board support.

  • Assist in the administration of various programs and serve as the primary point of contact for the Institute's Executive Director.

  • Support Division Directors with event planning and logistical needs.

  • Provide post-award sponsored programs project administration support, such as planning, coordinating, and implementing activities.

  • Attends and supports program meetings and trainings as necessary.

  • Prepares targeted written professional communications as necessary.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Bachelor's Degree conferred by date of hire with a minimum of three (3) years full-time professional administrative or customer service support experience or, without a Bachelor's, at least six (6) years of cumulative full-time experience as demonstrated in the submitted resume with professional business administration or customer support experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional administrative experience in Higher Ed; Research/Sponsored program post-award support experience; greater than six (6) years' experience in professional administrative or customer service support environment.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. Employee is occasionally required to move, and maneuver in confined spaces including moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and fine motor skills. Tasks may involve using a computer screen continuously for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
