Focus on the Family TEMP Program Manager, Family Ministries Events in Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Family Ministries Events Program Manager exists to provide marriage and parenting events program leadership. This position works with the Events Manager on idea generation, strategy, coordination, and delivery of all events in the Family Ministries Department. It has the responsibility and authority over all event initiatives. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing all event production, implementation, and direction of all event projects and timelines related to the department.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assists Events Manager with general event production and execution of events, both digital, virtual, and in-person
Develops engagement plans for digital, virtual, and in-person marriage and parenting events in the small and large event space
Determines creative needs consistent with the Focus and in collaboration with the marketing and creative services teams
Maintains customer relationships and expectations associated with event project efforts
Knows and understands event target audience in the strengthening and crisis space
Assists Events Manager with annual budget planning for all event initiatives
Serves as a "checkpoint" for understanding and escalating budgetary concerns for all marriage events as appropriate
Leads execution, communication, documentation, and logistics of all event types along with a specific platform to execute the event on
Leads creative/brand content for all types of events, including the creation of PowerPoint, conference participant guides, website copy, and landing page layout
Oversees product inventory, and reconciliation with Finance after each event
Researches and analyzes market trends in the event space to include new types of events to make Family Ministries a significant player in the event space
Is responsible for updates to Point of Sale devices (iPads and Quickswipes) for in-person events to maintain strict inventory controls
Works with the Events Manager to create a customer journey, driving toward the overall marriage and parenting strategy objectives in line with the Focus ministry strategy
Collaborates and maintains strong, effective relationships with cross-ministry departments as well as external event stakeholders
Serves as the department liaison to the Ministry Events department to execute any Focus campus onsite marriage and parenting event delivery
Works with Events Manager to reach a varied marriage and parenting audience in the U.S. as well as support any Global Department marriage event efforts
Manages large event schedules, meetings, and processes leading up to and post event
Creates and manages the process of tracking and communicating issues, risks, and action items
Maintains up-to-date weekly communications of project status to Events Manager
Helps manage post-project activities, including project assessment and documentation (e.g., lessons learned and customer satisfaction surveys)
Analyzes external market trends, demographics, related programs, and other areas associated with marriage events ministry
Assists Event Manager with reporting processes

Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field/experience is preferred
3-5 years of professional work experience with increasing responsibility
3-5 years of demonstrated project management experience – planning and implementing projects
Understanding of video creation process
Experience in scheduling/traffic
A/V knowledge
Familiarity with multiple digital event platforms
Thorough understanding of Focus on the Family mission, philosophy, values, and objectives
Experience with strategic and tactical planning
Knowledge and experience of corporate business process

Pay Range: $58,236 to $67,077/Yr
