Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr MDPAF Software Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on state-of-the-art platform services and integrated hybrid solutions, supporting our USSF customer.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define requirements and redesign applications to support both business processes and data analytic efforts.

  • Developing software and automated tests using C++. Java, Python, Java and/or JavaScript.

  • Deep dive discovery and performance assessments on existing enterprise platform utilizing application frameworks and APIs

  • In depth integration of COTS/GOTS/FOSS applications into designated frameworks

  • Participating in technical discussions to assist in planning future development efforts.

  • Design, build and maintain new web applications for the organization from an operational performance and metrics user interface

  • Design, build and maintain data dashboards as hosted applications and or web based solutions.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure applications align with organizational goals as well as customer needs

  • Improve overall application development process and continuously find ways to modernize and improve performance

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field and 8+ years of related experience

  • Messaging standards for government entities, like Overhead Persistent GEOINT Architecture ( OPGA ) and C2MS.

  • Queueing, Messaging and Background Processing - Pub/Sub experience using ZeroMQ or RabitMQ or Appache Kafka, and gRPC message interface brokers

  • Kafka architecture and integration nuances, benefits and limitations.

  • Cybersecurity scanning, STIGs, HW/SW requirements and verification methods.

  • Python skills for scripting/automation on an open framework such as MDPAF.

  • ELK Stack – For Cybersecurity, SE, Test, Infrastructure assessment.

  • Experience developing containerized software and developing multiple containerized applications that interface together – Kubernetes, Docker, PodMan, Docker Compose, OpenShift

  • Linux and/or Windows development lifecycles

  • Software Engineering/Development experience including a deep knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C/C++ , and/or Python

  • Working experience in Windows and Linux environments

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • USSF FORGE MDPAF development and/or architecture experience

  • ActiveMQ, pub/sub for message bus data transport

  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile development environments

  • DevSecOps automated integration

  • Development experience with HTML5, CSS3 web standards, and Javascript

  • Experience working DoD/security development projects

  • Hybrid platforms (Cloud, OnPremise, standalone) software development

Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
