Job Title Senior Security Cooperation Planner (USSPACECOM)

Job Description

Job Description: Torch Technologies is seeking an individual to provide security cooperation planning support to the USSPACECOM J5. The individual will develop security cooperation plans that operationalize USSPACECOM's strategy and campaign plans, capturing DOD components security cooperation activities, such as training, exercises, military engagement, security sector assistance, experimentation, education, personnel exchanges, and armaments cooperation resourced through funding lines and authorities. Responsibilities: Leverage the joint planning process to develop security cooperation plans and guidance in support of the USSPACECOM Combatant Command Campaign Plan. Support the development of CCMD partner nation (PN) requirements and mission planning. Plan, assess, monitor, evaluate, and adjust security cooperation activities, country specific country strategies/country plans as required. Conduct PN mission planning in coordination with geographic CCMDs, Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), applicable Security Cooperation Offices, country teams, components, and PN representatives. Support the management of key CCMD security cooperation programs such as the Combatant Command Initiative Fund (CCIF), and other program activities as required. Support CCMD Posture Plan development capturing forces, footprints, and agreements to align basing and forces to ensure achievement of CCDR objectives. Manage USSPACECOM's input into the Global Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System (GTSCMIS).

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: The candidate should have a demonstrated experience in conducting strategic analysis, identifying strategic challenges and potential opportunities, and developing security cooperation solutions. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working on a high-level staff, supporting senior-level military personnel.Experience with the Global Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System (GTSCMIS). Specific Requirements: Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant Security Cooperation experience. Possess and ability to maintain a DOD TS/SCI clearance. 10-years military experience (Active Duty or DA Civilian), experience working on classified networks and interfacing with military staffs at the operational and strategic level on security cooperation planning efforts. Experience in developing security cooperation plans. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relations. Preferred Requirements: Possess previous planning experience at operational/theater level (e.g. Combatant Command, Joint/Combined Task Force, Component). Possess experience in supporting USSPACECOM, AFSPACE, NAVSPACE or SMDC/ARSPACE operations.
