Kratos is looking to add a Service Deployment Engineer to our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

• Primary responsibility is to test, deploy and support tool sets, scripts, software, and services in a satellite communications production environment.

• Liaison with software development team to ensure software designs leverage common architectures and are testable, supportable, recoverable and scalable and satisfy customer service level agreements.

• Test, validate, and accept new solutions, and deploy those solutions to a production environment.

• Generate document artifacts from test and deployment activities, analyze and communicate results, track issues to closure.

• Coordinate and schedule change windows, and support the resulting upgrades, fixes, and software deployment activities. Minimize impact to production environment.

• Respond to unplanned service outages 24/7. Provide SME guidance, perform hands on or remote troubleshooting, document steps taken. Minimize impact to production environment.

• Perform root cause analysis and fixes/work arounds to systemic problems that impact production operations, document and communicate findings.

• Develop procedures and training that enable the team to operate more efficiently and minimize impact to customer services.

Required Experience:

• 5 + years’ experience with the system administration of linux and windows based operating systems.

• 3 + years’ experience scripting, using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python or equivalent.

• 3 + years’ experience with automation tools such as ansible.

• 3 + years’ experience with TCP/IP troubleshooting.

• 2 + years’ experience developing and/or deploying software, microservices, APIs, RESTful web services in a Docker environment.

• 1 + year experience with a version control system like Git Bitbucket

• 1 + year experience with troubleshooting complex distributed environments and taking corrective actions to ensure availability

• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform

• Current Secret clearance

• US Citizenship is required

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience working and or certification with ITIL, DevOps, and Agile methodologies, CI/CD.

• Experience in the development and management of Service oriented solutions is a plus.

• Experience with satellite communications technologies in an operational environment

Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000
