Lockheed Martin Software Engineer (Level II) - Secret Clearance in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Description: Lockheed Martin, a company that prioritizes purposeful innovation and keeping people safe, is seeking an early career Software Engineer to join their team in King of Prussia, PA.

In this role, you will be developing and testing software as part of an Agile Development Team. The successful candidate will have experience with C#, microservices, containers, backend software engineering.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions that meet our customers' needs. You will be responsible for developing software solutions using the C# programming language. This will involve writing high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code, as well as performing unit testing and debugging to ensure that your code meets the required specifications.

As a member of an Agile Development Team, you will be responsible for collaborating with your team to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced and iterative environment. This will involve participating in Agile activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

This position requires US citizenship and will require obtaining a government security clearance, as the facility requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong Software Development, Software Engineering, and/or Systems Engineering background, with a track record of successful project delivery

• Prior professional experience indicating proficiency in C# programming language

• Demonstrated expertise in Scaled Agile development methodologies, with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and teamwork across Agile Development Teams.

• Current DOD-Secret clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Experience developing software solutions that support Military Communications Satellite systems.

• Strong experience designing and implementing software solutions using the following technologies: Microservices, C#, Active MQ, N-Unit Testing, Angular, Jasmine

• Proficient in using Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration

• Working knowledge of DevSecOps Pipelines

• Excellent understanding of Agile Methodologies as they relate to the Scaled Agile Framework

• Experience with Agile, automated test, continuous integration, and regression testing

• Experience with automated test frameworks similar to Cypress and Postman, continuous integration, and regression testing

• Results-driven with strong problem-solving skills applied to software engineering solutions

• Previous experience delivering highly reliable Communications / Ground subsystems

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $70,500 - $135,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
