Salary Range: 130000-180000

Position Overview

The Infinity Innovation / Digital Engineering Solutions Architect is responsible for leading the development of technical solutions and supporting all aspects of customer engagement from improving existing services to capturing new business. This includes proposal writing, developing solution architectures, designing and building prototype solutions, delivering technical demonstrations and presentations, and thought leadership for the organization. The Solutions Architect is the ideal role for a technical leader who wants to innovate and help solve our customers’ biggest challenges. This position is suited for mid to senior-career candidates. The level placement of the selected candidate will be assigned Senior Staff Engineer (IC4), Lead Engineer (IC5), or Principal Engineer (IC6) based on qualifications and relevant experience. A qualified candidate must meet some or all of the minimum and preferred qualifications and possess 6 to 16+ years of direct and relevant experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Developing and architecting solutions for existing DES USSF/USAF clients and support the extension of those solutions to other DoD organizations with common needs

  • Perform product/system demonstrations for customers

  • Work with development teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with Infinity’s technical capabilities

  • Developing white papers/presentations for customers and conference submissions

  • Responding to Requests for Information/Proposal (RFI/RFP) with technical solutions

  • Lead solutioning sessions to respond to specific customer challenge statements and to Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) BAA postings

  • Support Internal Research and Development (IRAD) activities with technical expertise, including idea generation, development, and marketing of solutions

  • Active member of Infinity’s Innovation Council to support creating automation to enhance enterprise value to current and future customers

  • Generating and updating product brochures and presentations

  • Engage customers at conferences/symposiums

  • Provide the voice of the customer to product strategy

    Minimum Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of directly relevant systems engineering and/or software engineering experience.

  • 4 years of experience with the Space Domain; ground and space segments

  • Strong technical writing experience to include; “white papers”, “technical proposals”, and/or responding to RFIs.

  • Understanding of complex data models.

  • Strong background in designing Space domain related ground and space segment applications and service structures.

  • Strong ability to be creative, innovative, and possess advanced decision-making skills

  • Strong knowledge of technology trends and champion of new ideas and product and process improvements

  • Digital Space Systems Engineering and Architecture

  • Modeling and Simulation Experience

    Preferred Qualifications

  • DoD Acquisition Business Development: capture management, technical solutioning and writing including prime and subcontract proposals

  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Experience

  • Experience with PNT and MILSATCOM full lifecycle engineering

  • 4 years’ experience with Agile development programs.

  • Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts

  • Containerized applications/microservices architectures

  • Experience with multiple Agile tools, including JIRA and Confluence

  • Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud architectures and implementations

  • Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack techniques and associated mitigation techniques

  • Experience working on projects that implement analytic models into production systems

  • Experience working with SBIR/STTRs

    Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree+, or equivalent years of experience in engineering, computer science, or STEM-related discipline.

  • Professional certification preferred (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, etc).

  • Experience in the National Security Space and/or the Space Control mission areas.

    Clearance Requirement

  • Active Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
