Job Summary:

The Student Success Supervisor designs programming and manages the daily supports for students working with Student Success Specialists in the Success Center classroom. The Student Success Supervisor is an expert in Social Emotional Learning strategies, Trauma Awareness Care, Crisis De-escalation and Restorative Practices and applies this knowledge while working directly with Student Success Specialists and students. The Supervisor also provides training to staff members across the district in order to ensure students are successful in any environment. The Supervisor works directly with families and community partners to provide students with resources they need to ensure success in the community as well as in school. The Supervisor must be able to effectively communicate in oral and written format and be able to solve problems and work collaboratively with a team of professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Design a nurturing, supportive and positive classroom climate that encourages student responsibility, using positive motivation, clear classroom routines, challenging instructional strategies, restorative practices, SEL, and other effective classroom management techniques. Create plans that support students who need social emotional and behavioral intervention in order to be successful in the school environment. Provide supervision and guidance to Student Success Specialists implementing plans with students who need social emotional and behavioral intervention in order to be successful in the school environment. Provide training to staff in the areas of Social Emotional Learning Strategies, Trauma Awareness Care, Crisis De-Escalation, and Restorative Practices. Collaborate with Teachers, Administrators, and Special Service Providers regarding student needs and interventions. Monitor success of Student Support Specialists in implementing support plans and recommend changes as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Training and Experience: Bachelors' degree from an accredited college or university in mental health, crisis management, and or family systems of support. Minimum of three years' experience working in a mental health field. Academic experience in Mental Health, crisis management, and or family systems of support.

Skills, Knowledge and Equipment: Expertise in Social Emotional Learning strategies, Trauma Awareness Care, Crisis De-escalation and Restorative Practices. Strong oral communication, and strong interpersonal skills. Basic math, writing, and academic skills. Ability to work with students with various backgrounds and abilities. Operating knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Word, telephones, and printer preferred at hire.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: Valid Colorado driver's license. Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.
