Kratos Space is seeking an experienced System Administrator IIito join our team with the following primary responsibilities: Infrastructure Support Maintains and monitors data center environment and equipment Performs hardware/software/firmware installation and upgrades per established policy Configures systems to comply with the current STIG per established guidance Creates or modifies system folder structure based on data owner request Recommends the redesign/re-configuration network/system devices Creates/modifies/deletes security groups, as required, to ensure the systems active directory structure and file structure is maintained according to established policy Conducts routine maintenance on the infrastructure according to established, approved policy Refreshes/replaces and configures existing hardware according to operational requirements Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all resources Verifies completion of scheduled jobs (i.e., backups, event log transfer, etc.) Ensures backup operations successfully complete and conducts off-site operation of spare media Conducts ongoing performance tuning, resource optimization and memory reallocation Repairs/recovers from hardware or software failures and communicates with appropriate personnel Security Support Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications Provides critical system administration support during incident response Monitors available resources that provide warnings of system vulnerabilities or attacks Isolates individual systems and necessary files for forensic analysis Adds and removes users, in active directory, granting permissions to transfer removable media Enables and disables physical access to transfer removable media at system endpoints Reports all information system violations of corporate policies to the ISSM/O Coordinates all equipment moves with the ISSM/O Secures the audit repository from general users, makes accessible to auditors only Configures applications to alert in the event of an audit processing failure and records the event Ensures the audit repository is included in the weekly backup Performs antivirus/software update and patch management per ISSM/O direction Ensures network/workstation is connected to an NTP server/time is verified weekly Ensures all remote maintenance connections are approved prior to establishing the connection Monitors the remote maintenance connection to ensure only required actions are taken Ensures all remote maintenance connections are terminated at the end the session Sanitizes any equipment, per ISSM/O direction, prior to release for DRMO Monitors and controls non-local maintenance and diagnostic activities Notifies ISSM/O of planned/out-of-cycle operational configuration changes to system Account Management Creates and modifies accounts based on request documentation provided by the ISSM/O Monitors accounts for inactivity and reports to ISSM/O Places the ISSM/O in the auditor-only security group to allow restricted access of audit logs Assists users with initial configuration of accounts Additional Responsibilities Provides technical guidance as a non-voting member of the configuration change board Develops and maintains standards and procedures related to network/system administration Researches and recommends innovative and automated approaches for network/system administration tasks, identifying approaches that leverage c rrent resources Provides technical expertise regarding network/system administration for system design Performs periodic performance reporting to support capacity and contingency planning Serve as a member of the COMSEC Team Keyword: SA, System Administrator, STIG Hardening, RMF. Risk Management Framework Required Experience:

Current active Top Secret SCI Security Clearance Required BS in Information Technology, Computer Science Minimum of 2+ years of System Administrator experience in a TS/SCI environment supporting a government customer Current CI Polygraph or ability to complete in first 6 months is required Must be willing and able to be SAP briefed Certification level to meet DOD Directive 8570.01-M IAM II requirements Preferred Skill Sets Familiarity with computer networks to include Microsoft Windows and Linux based operating systems as well as knowledge of network infrastructure and related protocols Knowledge of current Risk Management Framework, supporting NIST standards, and DoD STIG hardening
