LinQuest is seeking a Systems Engineer supporting SATCOM synchronization tasks to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO.

The Systems Engineer supporting SATCOM synchronization will conduct yearly data calls using the National Security SATCOM System Synchronization Roadmap (NS4R) databased, coordinating with Department of Defense (DOD) services, agencies, and organizations to generate a detailed analysis.

LinQuest is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for LinQuest employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze NS4R database for system usage trending, terminal to space segment synchronization, and SATCOM architecture

  • Assist DOD services, agencies, and organizations with data entry into database

  • Provide input into DOD level taskings to start data call

  • Support Government priorities and generate synchronization graphics, trend reports, and executive briefings

  • Coordinate data call execution with senior level DOD agencies, to include Joint Staff and Headquarters United States Space Force (USSF)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, or computer science

  • 5+ years of SATCOM program experience (including both tactical and strategic systems)

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in systems engineering

  • 5+ years’ experience with ground systems, such as terminals, modems, and networks

  • Experience working with both tactical and strategic MILSATCOM programs

  • Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships

  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills

  • Capable in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders

  • Must have an active Secret clearance to be considered for this position

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • MS degree (Technical Field)

  • 10+ years’ experience in systems engineering

  • 10+ years’ of SATCOM program experience (including both tactical and strategic systems)

  • 10+ years’ experience with military space systems and protected MILSATCOM systems

  • 10+ years’ experience with ground systems, such as terminals, modems, and networks

  • Professional certifications, such as INCOSE CSEP, ASEP or PMP

  • Familiar with agile software development and DevSecOps

Compensation for Colorado: Starting salary ranges from approximately $110,000 to $120,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
