Peraton is seeking a Systems Integration & Test Engineer- Automation to support our Space Force customer. The SWAFS program is migrating legacy capabilities into the AWS cloud, while continuously adding new capabilities for legacy applications and users. The Systems Integration & Test Engineer- Automation will assist in integrating legacy tools with new capabilities built upon decades of environmental science and celestial studies to increase the immediate awareness and risks to DOD Infrastructure and Systems, advancing Space Weather Forecasting capabilities. Must be local to Colorado Springs, CO, or Melbourne, FL, or Chantilly, VA.

What you'll do: Interpret customer needs and technical constraints to devise solutions for system integration, testing, evaluation, and transition of systems at the enterprise level. Coordinate labor, schedules, and resources for these processes. Develop and enforce standards, practices, and procedures for integration, testing, and evaluation. Evaluate system architectures, designs, and requirements for integration impacts. Design, implement, and oversee test and evaluation strategies to ensure system reliability. Derive and evaluate testability requirements and ensure enterprise capabilities comply with standards. Generate verification approaches and customer acceptance criteria. Lead comprehensive test and evaluation planning and execution, coordinating with other teams. Assess readiness for system integration, test, evaluation, and transition activities. Analyze test data and recommend changes to testing processes, configurations, or requirements. Implement testing processes and ensure adherence to established procedures. Produce reports on each test activity and track metrics. Analyze system performance and prepare evaluation reports and risk assessments. Conduct integration regression testing and validate fixes. Provide direct customer support during integration, test, and evaluation. Monitor for process improvement opportunities and report findings to management regularly.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI. The candidate must obtain and maintain the clearance. Associate degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience; OR minimum of 8 years with a Bachelor's degree; OR minimum of 6 years with a Master's degree; OR minimum of 3 years with PhD. Four (4) years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Experience in automated testing is required, with hands-on experience emphasizing automation over manual or paper-based testing methods. Demonstrated experience with software testing tools such as: Selenium Nightwatch Postman J-Unit Git-Lab/Git-Ops/Auto-build test pipelines Experience working exclusively within Atlassian Suite of Tools to include Jira and Confluence. Must have previous experience in guiding diverse, multidisciplined test teams, overseeing the development, maintenance, and implementation of test strategies. Must plan, execute, and provide feedback regarding test objectives, test plans, test outcomes, test discrepancies, test tools evaluation, and test metri Proficiency in leading teams across various domains including Agile, DevSecOps, Pipeline management, Systems Integration, Systems Engineering, and Hardware/Software Testing is necessary. Must be proficient with customer requirements elicitation, decomposition, and experience with drafting Requirements Verification/Traceability Matrices, SDDs, VDDs, and IDDs. Must be able to obtain a DOD sponso ed CAC. Desired Qualifications:

Space Operations experience (DOD or Commercial) highly preferred. Experience working with formal, large systems integration and testing, ACAT-III programs and higher. Experience working with fast-paced software development, to include rapid deployment, quick releases, 3-week sprint cycles, and continuous improvement and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Previous experience in software development with languages such as JAVA, Python, C#, C++, JavaScript.
